Controlling Progenitor Cell Differentiation: a Systems Approach.
The group of molecular genetics of the University of Rome Tor Vergata is recruiting highly motivated individuals for PhD
and postdoctoral positions.
The successful candidates will be integrated into a multidisciplinary group which, within the framework of an ERC project,
aims at understanding muscle progenitor cell differentiation and at developing strategies to control their fate.
Position1 Bioinformatics: The successful candidate has a strong bioinformatic background and an interest in a system
view of biological processes. He/she should hold a PhD or a M.S. degree in Bioinformatics and a solid understanding of
complex biological processes. Previous experience with analysis of genome wide expression experiments, of high content
siRNA screenings or pathway modeling is desirable.
Position 2: Molecular Cell biologist. The successful candidate has a background in cell/molecular biology and an
interest in a systems view of biological processes.
